Privacy Policy
Last updated 14 October 2026
FR Mobile Welding(“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how we store and protect it, and your rights. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
The short version
- We only collect what you choose to give us to get a quote or ask a question.
- We use it to reply to you and to do the job — never for unrelated marketing, and we never sell it.
- Our website sets no tracking or advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
- Enquiries are stored in Australia (Sydney). You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
What we collect
- Quote and contact requests — your name, phone number and, if you provide them, your email address, suburb, the type of job and the details you write.
- Messages, calls and photos you send us by phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email.
- Anonymous website statistics— which pages are viewed and when buttons such as “Call” or “WhatsApp” are tapped. These records contain no name, IP address, cookie or device identifier and can't be used to identify you.
- Spam protection — when a form is submitted, your IP address is checked briefly in server memory to stop automated spam. It is not saved.
You don't have to give us your personal information, and you can contact us without using your full name where that's practical — but we do need a way to reach you to provide a quote or do the work.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote and carry out the work.
- To contact you about your job — scheduling, follow-up and any warranty matters.
- To keep business records we're required to keep (for example, for tax).
- To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don't send marketing emails or SMS. If that ever changes, we'll only do so with your consent and you'll always be able to opt out.
Who we share it with
We only share personal information with service providers that help us run this website and receive enquiries, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Supabase — stores enquiries and website content. Data is held in Sydney, Australia.
- Vercel — hosts the website and processes form submissions in Sydney, Australia. Vercel is a US company.
- Resend — delivers the email notification of your enquiry to us. Resend is a US company and may process email data in the United States and Japan.
- VentraIP — provides our business email, hosted in Australia.
If you contact us through WhatsApp or visit our Google Business Profile, those services are provided by Meta and Google under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.
Overseas disclosure
Because some of our providers are based overseas, your information may be accessed or processed in the United States and Japan. We choose established providers with strong security practices and use them only to operate this website and our email.
Storage, security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access limited to people who need it, and password-protected systems. We keep enquiries only for as long as we need them for the purposes above or as the law requires (business and tax records are generally kept for up to 7 years), then delete or de-identify them.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below — we'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.
Complaints
If you're concerned about how we've handled your personal information, please contact us first and we'll try to resolve it within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
